No Bake Oreo Cheesecake and Recycled Fruit Jam Bottles: Coolio

This is my 4th time trying to perfect a cheesecake (is it that hard?) and awa ng Diyos it now tastes like how it should be! I didn’t create this recipe, albeit I feel this strong desire to re-share it to you.

No-bake Oreo Cheesecake in Jam Bottle

• 1 (8 oz.) package of Cream cheese (I use Philadelphia)
• Oreo cookies (crushed)
• 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 medium sized can of Condensed milk (make sure it’s your favorite brand)

You may not believe but that’s all I used!

1. For the crumb; Add an ample amount of condensed milk to the crushed Oreos.
2. Press and spread the crumb mixture to your bottle or your pan.
3. For the filling; In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and lemon juice until soft.
4. Beat in Condensed milk a little at a time.
5. Pour filling to the bottle/pan.
6. Add more crushed oreos on top of the filling or you may opt to top it with Blueberries.
7. CHILL 👌

Such a no-brainer isn’t it? Go! Be creative and wow them with this recipe you found in a rusty blog.

He obviously loves it.

New in the Grocery Cart: Delimondo Garlic and Chili Corned Beef

Blogging about food as a “resurrection post”? Why not?

While writing can be really boring, tasting newly discovered eats is deliriously exciting. Lately, I’ve been visiting some of the “food blog-worthy” diners located around the city, which i also discovered through blogs (hope that makes sense) and it’s slowly becoming my favorite hobby. Who on earth doesn’t want this kind of hobby?

Anyway, what i’m going to talk about is this new favorite canned corned beef of mine which I really love because:

  1. I like its simple packaging
  2. It’s a local gem
  3. It’s spiciness is my weakness (well the Ranch Style one isn’t)
  4. It’s perfectly shredded (because i don’t like chunky)
  5. It becomes crispy when stir-fried (help!)

This baby will always be at the top of the grocery list from now on. Try it!

Ristorante Italiano il martedi

I just google translated it. Haha

Nothing much happened this week since I’m too broke to even dine out. But then I remember I saved a few money before classes officially ended. Yay! And since I miss eating with my buddy, last Tuesday we went out and ate at the most famous Italian restaurant here in Davao.

I told him I wanted to eat at Picobello again just to reminisce our “date” last year. Haha I think that’s a pretty cute reason and he agreed. Till next date! (Well, if my coins would reproduce in my pocket)

January 21 – 27, 2013

Okay so the entire week was a melange of unbelievable exams and heart warming reunion with friends. I am glad I was able to take a break after weeks of juggling studies and on-the-job duties! I’m also blessed to have a very supporting and understanding boyfriend who’s more than willing to sacrifice just to help me reach March 23 and bade Ateneo farewell, with tears of glee.

I’m not sure if this helped me while reviewing but it sure did help in keeping me up all night. I know that’s kinda ironic but I don’t drink coffee. So – milk it is.

cute little bear on the inside 🙂

I also just want to show you what I did with the lace I found at home and what I wore to Church last Sunday.

I’m a big fan of lacey-dainty-floral things or fabric because they look sunny and light. Oh no you got it all wrong. This is not a fashion blog. :] Don’t worry you will hardly see stuff like this here.
By far, the week ended great and I’m pretty much equipped to face this entire messy hell week again. Have a great week ahead! xxx

Just another doughnut day…

I’m making the most out of my “rest” day because school is killing me slowly. Even the thought of “monday” scares the heck out of me. Well, I better keep my cool for now and guess what? 2 more months till I leave Ateneo!!! You have no idea how excited I am. Freedom from having to please my teachers every freaking day. Im not scared of what lies ahead after graduation, though. 🙂

Anyway, here’s what my sister bought for us — a box of Gonuts Donuts. Compared to Krispy Kreme’s, I think their doughnuts are quite bland. Or maybe i’m a little biased. I just like how they design their doughnuts like it’s really cute and creative but not as good as how they taste, sorry. I’m loyal to my all-time favorite KK 🙂

Isn’t it funny that one day in the future, or when your kids are old enough to understand the difference between a crocodile and an alligator, you’ll tell them how you survived the prophesied end of the world by staying close to your laptop? XD Actually it’s not funny, it’s absurd.
Anyway, my year ended grand. My parents already arrived and we celebrated New Year together! Look at what my mother prepared. I don’t know how to name it so I’m calling it “Fried Prawns”. How do you like our garnish? Pakyas.
Nice try haha
I really hope this year will be exciting and fabulous because 2012 wasn’t really much of what I wanted but there were really cool and unforgettable experiences that I’ll never trade except for bacon jk. 2012 was disgusting, ugly, grand, merry, foolish, bright, all the extremes of both negative and positive to be precise. And now, a brand new year awaits. Im scared but I was brave enough to write a short list of goals I really pray to achieve, of course with God’s help and my patience.
I’m going to take little steps for all of these and will take them seriously because I’m not getting any younger! But as you can see, it’s a mixture of super easy tasks and really challenging ones and you might even notice I didn’t include “getting a job” because… I don’t know. Hahaha. I don’t want to stress myself with that issue for now. How about you? What’s included in your list? 🙂
