February 28, 2015 — Macro love

Our camera works fine with macro shots alone. Wide shots are definitely not her bestfriend.

These are raw photos; all taken by me!

No Bake Oreo Cheesecake and Recycled Fruit Jam Bottles: Coolio

This is my 4th time trying to perfect a cheesecake (is it that hard?) and awa ng Diyos it now tastes like how it should be! I didn’t create this recipe, albeit I feel this strong desire to re-share it to you.

No-bake Oreo Cheesecake in Jam Bottle

• 1 (8 oz.) package of Cream cheese (I use Philadelphia)
• Oreo cookies (crushed)
• 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 medium sized can of Condensed milk (make sure it’s your favorite brand)

You may not believe but that’s all I used!

1. For the crumb; Add an ample amount of condensed milk to the crushed Oreos.
2. Press and spread the crumb mixture to your bottle or your pan.
3. For the filling; In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and lemon juice until soft.
4. Beat in Condensed milk a little at a time.
5. Pour filling to the bottle/pan.
6. Add more crushed oreos on top of the filling or you may opt to top it with Blueberries.
7. CHILL 👌

Such a no-brainer isn’t it? Go! Be creative and wow them with this recipe you found in a rusty blog.

He obviously loves it.

New in the Grocery Cart: Delimondo Garlic and Chili Corned Beef

Blogging about food as a “resurrection post”? Why not?

While writing can be really boring, tasting newly discovered eats is deliriously exciting. Lately, I’ve been visiting some of the “food blog-worthy” diners located around the city, which i also discovered through blogs (hope that makes sense) and it’s slowly becoming my favorite hobby. Who on earth doesn’t want this kind of hobby?

Anyway, what i’m going to talk about is this new favorite canned corned beef of mine which I really love because:

  1. I like its simple packaging
  2. It’s a local gem
  3. It’s spiciness is my weakness (well the Ranch Style one isn’t)
  4. It’s perfectly shredded (because i don’t like chunky)
  5. It becomes crispy when stir-fried (help!)

This baby will always be at the top of the grocery list from now on. Try it!

Before I bid 2013 farewell…

Before I bid 2013 goodbye...

By far, I think it’s safe to say the 2013 has been one of the best years in my entire existence. This year, I’ve grown a little independent than the usual, experienced the hardest trials and felt the euphoria of selfless love.

This year, I finally made my parents proud when I finished my degree, got hired on a job that I didn’t applied for, and surprisingly, even got regularized!

On this year, I’ve gotten the chance to visit a lot of places! I usually stay in the city since I don’t really travel. But this year is different! I flew to cebu to attend a temple wedding, traveled to Cagayan de Oro for a business trip (Also, when I got home from CDO lo and behold! Cho2 got his dream tattoo which made me flattered and insane at once lol. ), wandered through the mountains of Datu Salumay when my boyfriend and I visited BuDa for a weekend vacation, and lastly, had a challenging trip to Lake Agco which is 10, 311 ft. above sea level! Oh and sojourning occasionally on our neighbor, the Samal Island. Honeslty, it made me crave for more. I made a wanderlust out of my boring self… thanks to Cho2x, my best travel/food buddy and nurse at the same time.

On this year, my father finally, finally, finally retired from the Philippine Air Force and immediately got hired in Qatar. Which also implies that we weren’t able to spend Christmas together (but thank heavens for Skype!).

Additionally, I think on this year I gained weight. You can tell by the way i fill my instagram with photos of food! I thank Heavenly father for giving us the resources to taste the food that we weren’t able to wallop when we were students (and broke haha.)

These blessings immensely filled my heart with gladness. For the coming year, I solemnly swear that I will travel more and fill the entire year with good memories and experiences..and I can only make these things possible with the help of my confidant. Thank you for staying with me. ♥

I wish you all a prosperous brand new year and may on this coming year, your hearts intent be fulfilled!

It all started with the Big Bang

Woah! It’s been a long time since my last blog entry. Well. Im sure no one would accept my lousy excuses so let’s just agree that I was too busy and yeah. Busy. Pretty nice reason to be out for weeks.

So i’m here just trying to update this blog with a photo I took few minutes ago. This is what I usually do during lazy days. Sometimes all you really need is a good laugh. 😀

D’leonor Inland Resort and Wavepool

The day after plunging our stressed out bodies in the beach, my family together with the ultimate love of my life, headed to D’Leonor Inland Resort and Wavepool for our scheduled family bonding. It was one of the happiest moments I’ll never trade for anything. Family will always be your best camp buddy, beach pal, summer confidant, get away partner, etc!

The accommodation was superb! We’ve all agreed that we’ve underpaid their services because seriously, the facilities were awesome and cheap!

We’ve rented a room that is so beautifully located near the steepest way heading to the ATV track. It’s called Chalet 2. Read the inclusions and get blown away.

For Php 2,800.00

  • 1 bedroom
  • Good for 2 pax
  • Allowed excess: 2 pax
  • Free entrance (supposed to be 50php each, we’re 5 in the family including cho2)
  • Free admission at the wavepool (supposed to be 250php each) or zipline (250php/ride) except for the excess pax
  • With complimentary breakfast except for excess pax (roughly 180php each

Great deal? Yes. Now inspect the room 🙂

It comes with a vase and a bible. Deal with it.ImageImageImageWant to cook? No problem. Kitchen with microwave, coffee warmer, and fridge at your service. (We brought the rice cooker though haha)

Enjoy your view as you dine.Image
